March 1--big yellow taxi

I live at the southern edge of the large urban sprawl, but there are still big trees out here--this is one of the ones that line the freeway for about a mile near where I live. These trees are huge--they provide a natural separation between the freeway, and the farmland to the west. They were probably planted way back when the freeway was a sleepy county road between Sacramento and Stockton.

When I walk in the park in the evening, I often watch the sun set behind them--it is a beautiful sight. I don't know why I never took pictures.
