Aug 13--the old apartment

I took the picture about 24 years ago, in the apartment where I was living in Oakland. I found the negatives a few weeks back while cleaning, and scanned a few of them to see what they looked like. I made a digital image of this one the other day and posted it on another website. Someone commented that it had a very empty feeling to it. I wrote back that it captured my life at that time perfectly.

By chance, I found myself standing below that same apartment yesterday, thinking about when I had lived there. This morning I made a print of the image and put it up on the wall in my creative space, to remind me of where I have been.
