Printed on the back of Arlina's bottle of body wash. I read it every morning as I shower, but it wasn't until wrote this that I understood what it was about.

Arlina took me to her stylist for my "pre-ordination" haircut today. I generally stick with the generic haircutting places, since I only get a haircut about 5 times a year. What's the point? It just grows back. But she wanted me to have a good haircut, so I went along and spent the extra dough.

The stylist's name was Michelle. She likes to talk. She kept up a running monologue throughout, telling me things about my hair I never even suspected ("you have a lot of cowlicks"). She asked me how I like it cut in the back, and I told her it didn't really matter since I only looked at it 5 times a year, when a stylist thrusts a mirror into my hand. She reminded me that a lot of people will be looking at the back of my head, so it should be cut nicely. Ok, then.

She did a pretty good job. Actually it looks like almost every other haircut I have ever submitted to. What's the difference between an $8.00 haircut and a $30.00 haircut? Twenty-two dollars. Arlina likes it though, and that's the important thing.
