I was working tonight and was in the ICU looking at one of my student's patients. I struck up a conversation with the patient's sister and found out we have a friend in common--one of the guys who was ordained with me. The patient was being rushed to emergency surgery, so I asked her sister if she wanted me to give her a blessing before she was taken. So I gave the patient a blessing.

On the way out of the ICU, I walked down a hallway and saw a fake plastic christmas tree, decorated with a bunch of red bulbs. Don't ask me why, but I took one and put it in my pocket.
