I was five days late getting this shot. It was finals week, and I was super busy. Had to work monday, then finals, then final evals, then graduation practice, then graduation. I have a three-day semester break, and then start again with a bunch of 3rd semester students tomorrow. Fortunately I don't have to lecture for about 4 weeks.
I took the photo as we were setting up for the graduation. Our campus coordinator looked at me like I was crazy, and wanted to know why I was screwing around with the chairs. I tried to explain, but I don't think she got it, really.
After I took the picture, I put the chair up on the stage. I was the emcee for the graduation ceremony, and I sat in the chair when I wasn't speaking. It's pretty comfortable. I forgot to take it with me after, and I'm hoping it's still around.
At the end of the graduation ceremony, I told the students how awesome it was that they were nurses, and how rare it is to have a job where you can go out and do good. It really is an awesome thing, and it humbled me as I looked out at them and thought about it.

It's pouring rain outside, and I have my window open and am listening to it fall as I write.
