June 18--Morning Glory
Jun. 19th, 2016 10:10 pmAfter stressing out about my project proposal revision for days, I woke up at 5:30 with the words bursting out of my head. I got up and started writing, and was done by 10. It's funny how that works. I can sit in front of a computer for hours without a single idea. But when it is ready to come out, it comes out relatively complete, and I rarely have to do much revision. I must compose subconsciously.
After I finished I went out walking in a town to the south of us. It was a lovely day. I came across a Morning Glory vine and admired how the flowers seem to have their own internal light source. There is a big Morning Glory vine in the old city cemetery in Sacramento, and I used to go down there and photograph the flowers after I got my first digital camera back in 2003. I decided I want one of these for my back yard.
I was all ready to write this last night, but something distracted me, and I forgot to write it.
