April 9--Peacocks
Apr. 9th, 2017 08:55 pmIt was a beautiful morning, and we went out to the City of 10,000 Buddhas to see what we could see. What we saw were peacocks--lots of them. It seems to be peacock mating season, because the males were all over the place with their feathers extended and yelling at each other. It was pretty cool.

They seemed pretty friendly, and didn't mind if we got up close.

Eventually we got back on the road after having another helping of that delicious Mexican food. We stopped at a couple of wineries along the way and eventually ended up out on the coast, where we are now.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon in Mendocino. We walked on the bluffs for a while before getting our room and relaxing before dinner. It is a different room than what we normally get, but we like it. Very comfortable. We went out to eat and then walked out near Pudding Creek to watch the unspectacular sunset.

Tomorrow we will visit the botanical gardens.
