When we got home last evening, the cats were a little upset with us. They meowed, and hid, and ran around anxiously. "Where were you?", they asked.

When we woke up this morning they were both on the bed with us, their usual spots. When I got up, relatively free of any effects of jet lag, they followed me around the house.

They were interested in what I was doing on the computer, and spent most of the morning wandering around my desk.

By the time the evening rolled around, they decided to stay with Malida and watch Korean soap operas.

We missed them. They missed us. It's good to be home.

Cats will let you know that you left them. They will follow you around and try to hold you hostage on the bed and sofa.
Welcome home!

Of COURSE they missed you. You're all one big pride, don't you get that?!?!

Luckily, however, they appear to forgive you for (temporarily) abandoning you.

I am a little sad that I'm not still out there, but it is good to be home.

I have sometimes thought that I have so many Southeast Asia pictures that I have never posted that I could probably post an entire vacation without leaving home. That might be an interesting "creative" project.

Yep. That's exactly what they're doing. But it's great to be back with them and know they missed us.

They're pretty happy, and are, at this moment, in the very same spot.

Thank you! It is good to be home, although I love traveling. It would be perfect if I could take my house and my cats with me.

Malida and I were talking about that yesterday--about how central the cats are in our lives, and we in theirs, and how when we go away, it disrupts their routine.

Cats are fascinating, as you well know.
