58 whatever.
Oct. 27th, 2015 10:41 pmWow, it's been a long time since I posted anything here, or came to see what is going on in your lives. I had to go back and look to see how long--about 7 months and a few days. Back in March. I guess I was kind of busy then.
I ended up having the summer off since I am a teacher now, and really didn't know what to do with myself. I stayed up late and drank a lot of wine. I pretty much stopped taking pictures. I decided that having the summer off wasn't the best thing for me.
We went to Thailand at the end of July and spent a little less than a month there. It was refreshing. I took lots of pictures, but for the first time, I didn't post them here.
Somewhere in the middle of summer I decided I needed more focus in my life, so I applied for a doctorate program. I was accepted and started 4 days after we got back from Thailand. It is demanding and stressful, but I feel great. Challenged.

I don't take too many pictures these days other than the cats helping me study.
Malida is studying too-she is getting better and better at English, and is now writing very interesting essays. We have been married for 7+ years!

I shaved off the facial hair at the beginning of the semester.
I guess that's about it. Just wanted to check in a bit.

Date: 2015-10-28 06:12 am (UTC)I'm two papers from finishing my BSN, and currently procrastinating on that by suddenly developing this obsessive fascination with this newfangled concept of blogging (which I've been doing for 15 years), and how utterly fascinating it is to write stuff and look back at it later, and see how things turned out exactly like I thought they would. Or didn't, in some cases.
Are you doing similar in writing this entry?

And here I am going back to school, without a cat to help me study.

Date: 2015-11-08 11:47 pm (UTC)A doctoral program. Good for you! I'll be interested to hear what comes of that.
You and Malida look good together. You're both beautiful. Malida smiles with her eyes -- it something some people do, and I love it when I see it.

Date: 2015-11-14 10:42 pm (UTC)The Van Dyke suits you. (I'm not real clear on the difference between a Van Dyke and a goatee.) I'm biased, though, because that's how my husband shaves. :-)
