where it's at
Jul. 31st, 2004 10:13 amanother beautiful saturday morning. saturday is becoming my favorite day of the week. it is the only day that i usually don't have something going on--it is my day.
i decided to abandon capital letters for the time being.
i decided that was dumb.
We are planning to skip town for a few days, before Arlina's surgery. We'll head down the ca coast to San Luis Obispo, then on to Seal Beach and Oceanside. Maybe 5 days or so.
We are taking the nieces with us--their families don't do stuff like this, so their only chance to get out and see stuff is with us. I like having them around--it allows me to see things from a different perspective.
Harley wants to see Hearst Castle, so that will be our first stop. We'll stay at the Madonna Inn, in one of the pink rooms. When we get down south, we'll go to Knotts Berry Farm or something. I hope the girls let me ride some of the roller coasters with them.
I feel kind of guilty about taking time off work, even though I shouldn't. We are having a big accreditation survey at the end of the month, and none of my stuff is anywhere near in order. Oh well.
My director's boss(who used to be my boss) asked me the other day about Arlina. I told her about the surgery, and she responded, "Are you going to take some time off after the survey?" No, I'm blowing off the survey this time--sorry.
Should I make this a big long post about all the stuff that's on my mind, or should I stop here?

Bite me, Bosslady. How much more convoluted could we have our priorities, honestly!

Date: 2004-07-31 04:24 pm (UTC)i'll always listen. the reason i rarely capitalize
in here, is that i usually don't in poems, and find
myself sometimes using a poetic line here, too.
