Brand new hip

The surgeon just came by to tell me the surgery is done and averything went well. He brought an xray with him--it is a lovely new titatnium hip--it looks good. He had to do less work than he thought, and the underlying bone looked pretty good.

So now on to recovery and rehab.

I'll post more when I know more.

I've seen a hip replacement

But I saw a knee replacement on The Learning Channel once. I was amazed at how similar it was to basic carpentry - the drilling and hammering, plumb-lines and levels - it was really wonderful. Norm Abrahms couldn't have done it better. Thanks for the sharing the good news!
