OK, this isn't meant to be flippant, or to distract from a message of support for a worthy cause...but do other diseases have 'days,' too?

And do they call it "World (insert disease) Day?"

The terminology just seems a little odd.

Actually, most of them have months. March is Colon Cancer Awareness month, May is Stroke month.

February 14th is Congenital Heart Disease day.

I kinda figured, but it just seems like an odd phrase...

"World Stroke Day," or "World Heart-Disease Day," seem a little harsh without the 'awareness' modifier, or something like it.
