Nice use of shutter speed to get the water just perfect.

Oh, and by the way - a little Dr. Scholl's will fix up that fungus problem in a jiffy..... :)

Very nice, Mike. You've made something quite unique out of rather familiar elements - and it works!

Well, I don't want to sound crude or anything, but this is quite phallic-ish. that's just an observation.

I mentioned to [livejournal.com profile] mactavish that it was one of your pictures that got me thinking about how to capture water like that.

I was standing above the little waterfall, looking directly down on it.

not very big this time of year, but in the spring, much bigger! I would have been washed away!

I almost didn't bring the tripod with me, but tossed it into my backpack at the last minute. In this shot, two of the legs were in the water, perched against some rocks--I held onto my camera strap the whole time!

hehehe! it's beautiful anyway. :-)
i'm learning a lot about creeks and streams.... organising to have a bridge put in at zara, and the type of bridge depends on the flow of the water, the condition of the creek bed.... and most importantly it has to accomodate the creatures of the creek and not impeded their movements.
moving water.... even if it is gentle, it has awesome powers! :-)

when I wasn't taking pictures, I sat there and just watched the water and how the light played off of it, how it flowed. magical!
