Jan 18--Pancake
Jan. 18th, 2006 11:12 pm
one of the things I put down on my "list of things to do" at the beginning of the year was to wash all the dishes in the sink each night before I went to bed.
Another was to eat more fruit.
A third was to post a picture every day.
So far, so good.
nice

Date: 2006-01-19 08:25 am (UTC)The first two, at least, since I am digital camera-less.
However, I am now heading to bed, not having eaten any fruit today and with hella dishes in the sink.
I am a bad, bad man!

You also have a lot of soaps around your sink. Hmm.
KitchenAid Envy,
Peas.

Date: 2006-01-19 05:42 pm (UTC)the almonds are a little more difficult to use, since I don't really like almonds. I made pancakes yesterday (from scratch!) and tossed in a handful of them--it was pretty good.
It's interesting that you noticed the craisins. They were one of the few things in the picture that weren't purposefully placed--they just happened to be there.

Date: 2006-01-19 06:24 pm (UTC)I would love to step into this picture and live in your kitchen. To cook in it must be a dream! Are you baking much lately?
It is warm and inviting. It looks like a real home. I can imagine the taste of that orange, chewing it with the juice running down my chin. The scent of the candle wafting through the air..
That countertop is amazing, and also that built in sink too. Those cabinets are warm and woody. I have those cabinets well almost, mine are just a tad darker.
The space above with the plates and decorations, I wanted space above mine when we built this house but hubby said no, there would be dust above not decorations if I know you. Humph! I cannot climb a ladder, I freeze. I love the space above the cabinets has just the right amount of decorations, spaced just so.
That one plate looks like those that I grew up with, the blue and white one, if that is blue. Second from the left of the basket in the corner.
The basket of fruit with the baseball in it was genuis to see if it was picked out. As I see many did.
Your tea kettle is beautiful, I collect tea pots, though I do not drink tea. I am odd I know, I am told that quite often. And your cup ready for said tea is cute.
What a delightful kitchen :)

Date: 2006-01-20 03:24 pm (UTC)Kind of funny, I spent more time than usual looking at this picture. Picturing the both of you in it, cooking, puttering around.
I like to look at peoples' kitchen things.
I like Arlina's tea kettle, and her baskets.
