January 28--every picture tells a story

i was feeling a little crabby this morning, so i went out and bought a new tablecloth and place mats for the kitchen table.

the tablecloth store was right next to the electronics store, and i ended up with a photo scanner as well.

after I got home, i found the box with all my old photographs and negatives in the garage.

i spent the rest of the afternoon and evening remembering all the people i have ever cared for.

Did you get the kind of scanner that you can just feed the photos in and it makes a file out of them? We have a flatbed but the notion of arranging hundreds of photos four at a time, moving the selection area around, etc., is discouraging. If only we still had the kind of snowy week-ends that were perfect for that sort of thing. Damn global warming. :/

it's not, but i looked up fiestaware, and it sure looks similar. i bought it yesterday to go with the place mats.

I got the kind where you can feed in negatives--that was the reason I bought it. Digging out all these pictures was a by-product of that.

I did scan a bunch of pictures in, but most of my old pictures are pretty unremarkable, and not worth scanning anyway, except for the people pictures.
