when the samba takes you out of nowhere, and the background's fading out of focus. yes the picture's changing every moment, and your destination you don“t know it.
Catalina was great--I want to go back soon and spend a few days there shooting. And I have filed it away for future reference as a great romantic getaway place as well.
It was my first time there. I don't know how many times I thought about going and never did. I wish I had gone 20 years ago.
Too bad I was already way far away before I saw that address--what is it?
haha--what is my usual style? It's probably different in some way because I am looking at things with an eye toward meeting certain objectives for my photo classes, although I was faascinated by this building and took all sorts of shots.
These days, I don't go far enough back through my friends list, not even when it's filtered down to the bare minimum, to catch your daily photos. Just now I scrolled through September and August and I realized that there's a lot different from what you used to do back at the beginning of the year. I really did feel like you had a Mike Style. Now there's this feeling half the time of... I really can't describe it but it's like this book I read by Paul Aster called The Book of Illusions. I still think, though, that if I had a pile of photos, I could pick out which ones you made.
My life has changed so much this year, and I think my photography reflects that. I think it is evident here because it is really a day to day snapshot of what I am thinking about and experiencing. I have gone back to january and scrolled though a couple of times and am amazed at how much I have captured.
