When you take pictures of people, do you usually ask them first? Or after? Or what? How do you approach them? I usually feel pretty self-conscious taking pictures of people, which is why I mostly just do friends and family.

I feel self-conscious too. My mentor challenged me to move beyond my own self-consciousness, and that is what I am trying to do.
