January 18--So the wind won't blow it all away

It has been a rainy and windy day. I have been sitting here listening to it. I love listening to the rain coming down.

The power went out for a while earlier, but came back on pretty quickly. I understand there are towns nearby without power. I just looked at the news page--100,000 without power. Lots of trees knocked down, one of them at the exit I take to get to work. I am glad to be safe at home.
