Smooth as a baby's butt
Oct. 2nd, 2002 08:49 amSince it is our anniversary, I decided to do something nice for my darling wife. I got up early and shaved off my mustache. She has hated it since the day it sprouted. I'm not really a long-term facial hair kind of person anyway. I used to start one every fall so that I would have a mustache in the family christmas pictures, but I kind of gave that up after we got married.
This year, for some reason, I grew a goatee after I got the new job in april, and kept it for a while before shaving off the bottom half as a demonstration to my nieces one saturday.
So my wife got up this morning and was thrilled with my now hairless face. I got an extra big kiss on my way out the door!
What did I get her for the anniversary, you ask? Well, she had been admiring this wrought iron stand that holds a kind of smoky glass bowl, in this little shop near our house. So I picked it up yesterday and filled it with water and floated flowers in it. I tried for the same type of flowers that we had at our wedding. And right about now she should be receiving a dozen red roses. Awwww.....
