I'm still at work waiting for the inspector from the state department of health services to decide he's had enough and go home.

Periodically they will show up, generally in response to a patient or family complaint, and dig around in our files to see what they can find. They ask the stupidest questions and want us to find policies on stuff no one has ever even though of. I spent an hour trying to find a procedure that describes how we give a bed bath.

So I'm just sitting here, drinking a cup of coffee and messing around on LJ, waiting for the next dumbass request. I could be home by now, drinking a cup of coffee and messing around on LJ.

One of my co-workers came into the office and asked why I was still here. I told her I was waiting to hear from my boss that the state inspector was done, and she tells me, "What are you talking about? They left 45 minutes ago!"

I'm such a schmuck.
