The hungry patient
Apr. 3rd, 2004 02:28 pmDoctor Miller (the "gentle oncologist") just came through. He is pleased with how Arlina looks today. I am too--she is free of this pain she was having, and ready to eat. She gets to try clear liquids, and if ok, may go home tomorrow. Good! Somehow the thrill of being at the hospital all the time is starting to wear off.
Arlina's surgeon dropped by just to say hi, as I was snuggling in the hospital bed with Arlina. She (the surgeon) offered to remove "that hideous growth" from her side (meaning me). Yuck-yuck.
In other news, I have been overwhelmed by your response to my birthday card scheme. thank you!
Won't Arlina be surprised! Well, she will if she doesn't read my journal before tuesday.
