November 4--Well, shit.

Well, I was hoping to wake up to different news this morning, even though things were looking unsettled last night. A disputed election is not what we need right now. It will play out how it plays out, I guess.

I had a lovely fall color photo ready to post today, had there been better results, but I'll save it for another day. Here's some pears instead:



One thing I have learned over the years is that no matter what the regime, you still have to get up every morning and do what needs to be done. As Paul Simon said,

You can't be forever blessed
Still, tomorrow's going to be another working day
And I'm trying to get some rest

Maybe we do need that bright and sunny picture after all.
