chair#2

I took this in a town down the river a ways. I was on my way to a winery to pick up a couple bottles of wine. The day was kind of cloudy, but I like kind of cloudy. I had a great weekend--no homework, no work-work to take home. Very relaxing.

I had kind of finished taking pictures, and was driving back and saw this spot out of the corner of my eye. It was perfect.

It's Clarksburg, not too far from Bogle Winery.

So nice to see your pictures here again .. are you using your cell phone or your good camera for these?

these are the good camera, although I take cell phone pics too. I have more creative options with the real camera.

I love those partly-cloudy skies with bright blue showing through the puffy white. Great light for photographing buildings or anything else!

I loved them too--we have had a series of these kind of days.

So, have you sent them to your therapist? The increase in your creative output probably gladdens her as much as you, and it is a nice and caring thing to do for her too. I've been to Locke, this reminds me of that place, but I don't recognize it specifically. Probably all the river towns have this look of abandonment and decay I suppose. The economic vitality of the delta does not look very strong.

I have sent them to her. I think she just had surgery, so I'm not expecting her to respond. For the one I will post in a moment, I sent a little note advising that when the journey gets tough, have a seat and enjoy the view for a moment. it's hard to know what to say, since she is my therapist and we have to maintain the therapeutic boundary.

Interestingly, this is near a place that has seen a significant economic resurgence thanks to the emerging wine industry in the area.

Hi, how's it? Will you have the summer off from school? Maybe time for an outing?
