While most of the country is digging out from the snow, out here in sunny California the flowers are blooming. Perhaps they sense it is their only chance, while there is still a hint of moisture in the air.

I think these were planted two falls ago. There's a whole bunch of them popping up.

Wow, awesome that they returned. When I lived in California one of the few drawbacks was that so relatively few of the bulb flowers I love persist there. (Of course, plenty of things are perennial in California that aren't other places I've lived.)

Same here. It's warm and the daffodils are coming up and the trees are budding. :-( We need snow so desperately.
