57082--the one everyone ignores

Near the Mona Lisa, in the Louvre, is another work of art by Leonardo da Vinci. It is called The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne. While there were crowds of people surrounding the Mona Lisa, I had this one all to myself. It was as if it existed only for me.

Yes. It's like you have it all to yourself while everyone is tiptoeing to see over the heads of the masses in front of them. It's far more beautiful.

Very odd background, and the Madonna is not terribly interesting to me, but Jesus being mischievous? wow!

St Anne is one of my favorites. Grandmother. No shunning. Just love. Faith in a daughter. Who knows how what seems hopeless ends up? He has caught what we all need to know. Even that Jesus was probably a hard to handle toddler?
