Ok, here is a cool thing about Facebook that more than offsets the goofiness. A guy who lived down the street from me when we were kids posted this picture last night of a bunch of us celebrating someone's birthday. These are all kids from my street. I was about 6 at the time, and my sister, who is to the right of me, was 3. The guy behind me, who is blowing the thing in the other kid's face was my best friend as a kid. We went our separate ways years ago, but have become friends again via Facebook.

I went back to work this morning and was pleased to find that my plant clipping has a couple of roots! Green Thumb Green Thumb!!!!

I'm a big fan of facebook despite its being an enormous pain a lot of the time; I agree with you that this picture illustrates why it's a positive thing overall. My content there is slightly different; if you'd like to be friends there, my last name on that site is Renner.
