zyzylyThe first day of class went well. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Only 5 students walked in late. Prize goes to the student who walked in 45 minutes late just as I was giving my "punctuality equals professionalism" talk. Anyway, the semester has left the station and is rolling!
As I was sitting at my desk after class this morning, the thing reminded me that I should take a walk, so I did. Across the campus and back. It was cold and refreshing. Lots of students everywhere. No rain.
I still haven't taken a picture with my new phone. I'm waiting for that right moment.
On my twitter feed was this awesome image from the space station, taken by Italian astronaut Samantha Christoforetti. It is the San Francisco bay, where I grew up, and still one of my favorite places.
That strange piece of land that juts out into the ocean in the top right is Point Reyes, which I have spoken of here before as my spiritual home. For as many people who live within the boundaries of this image, there is still so much protected land.
