zyzylyI have ministry training this weekend. The topic is Canon Law, which is usually pretty boring stuff--annulments and whatnot. It has gotten somewhat more interesting recently because the guy who teaches it is the Canon Lawyer for the diocese who handles all the priest abuse cases.
He's an odd guy and you would never guess that he is a priest himself, because he talks like a character in a cheap novel. It's kind of funny to see him on tv in his priest clothes, with his hands folded in a pious gesture, explaining why this or that priest has run off to mexico or whatever.
