big red ball

zyzylySaturday evening my wife brought home a big red ball. It is about 3 feet in diameter (as you know, I do not posses the skills to determine circumference). It is like a big beach ball, only stronger. It is filled with air, but deflated enough that you can sit on it and bounce around.
She got it from her sister who used it for prenatal exercises or something. My wife is having back problems and her sister thought she could work it out with the ball.
Being a 10 year-old at heart, I immediately started playing with it. I rolled around the house on it. I attempted to balance on it. I even dragged it into bed with me and pretended to be sleeping with it. My wife thinks I am a nut, but we had a great laugh about it.
As I was lying in bed last night, I looked over at the ball, which is now sitting in the corner. I reflected on everything going on in the world and in my life. I wished that life didn't have to be so complex. I wished that it was no more difficult that trying to decide how to have fun with a big red ball.

also, I have one of those big balls too! except mine is pearly white, and I use it (sporadically) for ab exercises. I imagine it would be great for your wife's back! but I'm looking more toward having fun with it in the pool this summer! hee hee
