Tax tears and ambulances
Mar. 31st, 2003 03:20 pmI had to leave the hospital earlier today, and on the way out I saw a doctor walk behind a parked ambulance. But the ambulance wasn't parked--it was getting ready to back up, and backed right into him. Not enough to hurt him, but enough to fluster him and make him almost fall over.
I'm relieved he wasn't hurt, but I found it incredibly funny and laughed all the way to my appointment with the tax guy, who did his best to quell any laughter I had left in me.

Date: 2003-04-01 05:13 am (UTC)I also saw the tax man yesterday, and had this nice little old man as my accountant. Went to work later on, got floated to a different floor. At shift change this morning they brought a patient up to the adjacent unit that looked so much like my accountant I almost freaked. I just got a glimpse of him, and couldn't really justify following him off the floor just to make sure, but I did corner a transporter to find out if it was him, and it wasn't. I was so glad!
also: a doctor once completely plowed a pedestrian in our crosswalk. Its like he didn't even notice her presence, and it messed her up pretty bad. It helps to realize we're not all that different. Stupid things happen to doctors too.
