Today was a good day. Arlina is more herself today. Less pain, and more awake. She got up out of bed 5 times and walked to the bathroom twice.

My friend who lost his wife in January came by to visit and we went out for coffee. I'm sure we made quite a picture--two middle-aged guys sipping coffee and wiping away tears with their napkins. I am fortunate to have a few people with whom I can be completely honest, and he is one of them.

I came home around 10:30 pm to do the laundry, listen to loud rock and roll, eat some ice cream and get a good night's sleep.
