I think that's what we do when it's better for us not to let anything touch us for a while.

Disconcerting is exactly what it is. But I think you're right.

Some things can be put on hold and dealt with at a later date. Exist on a different plain for a while if you need to. Most of the time you seem to be pretty grounded.
