There is a corner of my kitchen counter where the early morning light hits for a few minutes. I have taken a bunch of pictures of things there over the past few weeks, and they all come out with this incredible light and shadow combination.
This is good...you are reminding me of things I used to do also.....those small, delicious, beautiful moments of light.... photographing them and then painting them....
It's interesting--I used to take pictures all the time and even did some developing, but as my life filled with other stuff I let it go.
It wasn't until Arlina got sick, and I gave up almost all of the other stuff I was doing, that I began taking pictures again. One of those hidden blessings.
It is. I bought it the other day to put in my herb garden, and it's been sitting on the kitchen counter waiting patiently for me to feel like a gardener.
I, too, thought that was basil. Yum. I make a great dish with fresh basil, garlic and olive oil, etc. Can't go wrong with fresh basil. I also love Annie Lennox. I have seen Eurythmics 3 times. I gotta get her new CD.
