A beautiful day

What a peaceful morning! I was up with the sun, sipping coffee and reading the Sunday Paper, listening to old albums. Windows open to let in a nice breeze, before the expected 100 degree day.

Later we head out to be godparents to our newest niece, Johanna Faith, born on the 16th of May. Blessings abound!

There's a nice breeze coming off the lake here this morning and I'm also enjoying my morning java and feeling it before the heat hits. yesterday it was 90 degrees here in minnesota and there was not even a litle wind...at the lake that's hot. Where are you that it's 100? Whew! stay cool.

Sacramento, Califronia. For this time of year, 100 can be considered relatively mild. When I moved here, 19 years ago yesterday, it was 114, and I was sure I'd never last.

I used to commute home from a job, on a bike, in the Sacramento summer, at 1 pm. The Fox and Goose pub was halfway. I'd stop in and they'd feed me ice water until I could keep going. (They knew me well enough, I also came by for a beer about twice a week.)

When it gets that hot does smoke come out of your ears? I have a set of dishes sort of like your cup and saucer. :) Ain't good coffee just grande!

I took a two mile walk through my neighborhood. It was quite delightful.
