Today is my yearly evaluation for the diaconate program, and the point where I learn if I get to continue with the final year. I'm not too worried, since I already have a room assignment for next weekend when we start again.

Both Arlina and I get interviewed--together and separately. One year, Arlina came out laughing--I'm pretty sure it was about me, but she never told. I expect that this year is going to be a little different, given our current circumstances.

what is a diaconate program?

The diaconate program is something I am doing to prepare for ordination as a deacon in the Catholic church. I am getting ready to enter the final year of a four-year formation program, and this is part of the process.

The interviews aren't stressful, but anticipating them are. :)
