The last day

It is so hard to work the day before vacation begins. I've been here since 6:30 and haven't done much of anything (other than mess around). I can't even get a handle on what I ought to accomplish before I leave.

I was very much surprised and touched this morning by the generosity of my coworkers. They went around the hospital collecting money to give us for our trip. When I got here, they handed me a card and big wad of cash.

I can't begin to describe the generosity of the people I work with. They have been so supportive through all of this--making meals when Arlina was in the hospital, listening wen I needed to talk, providing me a shoulder to cry on.

I don't know how to repay kindness like this.

You can't repay. You can only pass it on to the next person. And remember the kindness the next time they get annoying.
