I was listening to "President" Bush speaking on the news a minute ago, and when he says "duty", I hear "doody".

And somehow, I think that is entirely appropriate.

Interesting point. One of my uncles has called him "Howdy Doody" for a long time.

LOL. Well I am guilty of that myself. Severe southern drawl here and alot words don't sound right. When ever I go to visit my hubby's family people there are always asking me to talk or to constantly repeat myself.

Dubya has a very narrow grasp on both the English language and the reality of the lives most of us live - but a firm grip on the use and acquisition of power. Marie Antoinette's misguided (though I'm told sincere) "Let them eat cake" comment comes to mind. I think it truly comes as a shock to him when people don't join his tricycle parade.

This too shall pass, but how soon, O Lord, how soon? And will it be soon enough for the world to recover?
