Some of my favorite pictures from 2003.

One of the first pictures I took with my Canon. I was driving down to my mom's at the end of April. As I went over the Tehachapi Pass, I saw that the hillsides were covered with wildflowers. It was spectacular! I said to myself, "I wish I had a camera". When I got there, I bought a camera and took the picture on my way home.
It was two weeks later that Arlina was diagnosed, and photography became a saving grace for me.

From a visit to the Sacramento City Cemetery. Lots of good photo subjects there. And such a peaceful place.

Point Reyes California--graffiti on a wall. Turned out to be the remnants of a spontaneous anti-war statement by local artists.

The first of a series I took of the morning light shining in. The painting was done by my grandfather in 1925. He would be happy that I have finally found an artistic outlet.

I did a lot of bee and flower pictures in the spring. This one is my favorite. The bee was huge!

I never posted this one, but it's one of my favorites.

My niece at Point Reyes on a windy day. Got a lot of good shots that day.

Taken from the back of a fishing boat as the sun came up. I caught 7 fish.

An alternate version of one that I took at the State Capital the day before Arnold's inauguration. A

Heceta Head Lighthouse keeper's house. One of the places we stayed on our trip up the coast.

One of the "pig journal" series from my pig collection.

Taken in the parking lot at work.

Taken in Nevada City on my birthday. This one was posted in Arlina's journal.
