Celebrating Monday on a tuesday....

zyzyly...is a delightful thing!
I had a total of almost four days off in a row. I went into work on friday morning, but developed a hankering for a cup of good coffee at about 10 am. I headed off to Peets, and decided not to come back--it had been a horrible work week, and just couldn't end soon enough. I savored my cup of coffee, then headed down to old town. I had a delicious plate of lasagne for lunch, and spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around taking pictures.
Later, I met up with my sister. We took some pictures together, had a cup of coffee, and watched the world go by. Although she lives in the same town, we don't get a chance to spend much time together, other than family events. But she had some minor surgery a few weeks ago and is off work for a while. It was cool to hang out with her.
I was going to come into work monday to catch up with the stuff I left behind on friday, but I stayed home instead. It was a good choice. I drove out to the river and took some more pictures, and then came home and just relaxed. Ahhhh.
All the work left over from last week is still here, but the sense of urgency has waned. The world didn't burst into flame because it wasn't done. I suppose there is a life lesson in there somewhere.
