Yeah, it's not a place you want to go traipsing through the woods--lots of booby traps!

Have you ever gotten the chance to see the redwoods?

On TV and magazines, yes. Still, they've always held an aura of magnificence whenever I get to see one. Even in film or in print. Seeing Arlina side by side with one has again inspired the feeling. :)

another thought...

It kind of makes me feel that, if God could create something so magnificent and make it last through centuries, how much more is he able to care for us who are the most prized of all his creations, ne? ^_____~

Indeed. Being in the midst of them is very humbling--a very spiritual place.

I hope you can come to California one day so we can show them to you.

It's so beautiful--we hadn't taken the old road for a while, but took our time this trip, and stayed at some cabins right along the old highway.

This reminds me of a joke we always made about architects taking pictures.

You can tell the difference between the architects and the tourists by the fact that the tourists are all waving at their friends to get int front of the building because they want to take a picture while the architects are waving at their friends to move out from in front of the building because they want to take a picture.

Architects only put their friends in their pictures if they want a sense of scale. And that is why it is always the same 5 or 6' person in the picture .. for easy scaling.

Very nice photo.

It's probably architects that you see posed in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa pretending to hold it up!

No, those would be tourists. The architects are the ones looking at the ground to see how the uneven sinking occurred.

Love it. Somehow, before I saw the title, I knew it was Arlina, from seeing her in your other pictures. (And not just by deductive reasoning, but the stance, etc.)

The tones of blue Arlina provides are great. And the way she's reading and facing away from the tree. Like they're two beings jes' going about their biz. So cool.
