well I agree God is not dead people and even would go on that since as charlton heston discovered "soylent green is[dead]people" God is not soylent green. and of course God is not dead.
But there is another possible sense-- the phrase of old Iranaeus which can be translated various ways including "the Glory of God is[expressed in] a man fully alive" which is nice.
also that God can only give what he is which is life and even those who seek death,or that in us which tires and consents to death, will find only life in the end..."I am the God... of the living." as it was said.
Just to add with the permutations and get as much from it as we can... well and even Baron Samedi may be less a god of the dead than a sub clerk in the department of irregular wakeup calls. +Seraphim. *reposted with a small correction deletint the other.
well thank you , I dont know about that but I think this series of comments was fun--a kind of good working of live journal with several people helping out to get what can be gotten from a thing...
I don't think God is all about dead people either... BUT I think I choose to believe from much experience of organized southern religion (which i love, yet loathe in a certain exclusionary sense) that God is about.. spirits that are there...spirits we embrace.. not just the trilogy.. but the daily walk..
