This is detail from one of four carved pillars of a crypt at Mountain View Cemetery. It is a beautiful place--up in the Oakland hills. I officated at a funeral there(my first)and took a walk with my camera after.
I used to live nearby, and spent a lot of time up there in my early 20s. I have pictures of this from 25 years ago when I was taking a photography class.
