Sometimes it drives me crazy, because she will do three or four things at once while we're watching a film, and then completely lost track of the plot.
I wona basket in a fraffle the other day, and the ribbon was part of the basket decoration. She wore it to the library yesterday--she has the attitude to get away with it. She can take almost anything and make it fashionable.
I've read the book, not seen the film. The author, Charles Frazier, is from the town that I live in and his father taught at the school that my wife teaches at. Cold Mountain is a real place and the story is based on real happenings. A few outdoor shots were filmed here in western North Carolina and then the majority of the film was shot in Rumania using Rumanian army soldiers to portray American Civil War soldiers. The starring roles was played by an Austrailian actress and a British(I think)actor who both played 19th century southerners.
