I have a Canon i9100 printer. I really like it, but it sucks up the ink. There are six separate ink cartridges, and they cost about $11 each.

So would you guys please buy me a bunch of cartridges?

Haha!!!!

No, really, does anyone know of a reliable place to get compatible (compatible in terms of print quality and not screwing up the print head) cartridges at a lower price?

I'm probably going to be off work for a while and want to print a buch of stuff I have shot this year, but I don't want to go bankrupt doing it.

Plus, I have my eye on the new Canon EOS 20D!

LaserMonks.com?

It's a monastery that refills cartridges and stuff. I've never used them, but I've heard about it and heard good things about them.

I checked them out and they had what I needed, at less than half the price in the stores--I ordered a set of cartridges. We'll see how it goes.

thanks!

Let me know how it goes. I might start buying school cartridges from them.

I've tried recycled cartridges before, and they just didn't work.

How large do you want the prints? Walmart does prints from digital files for incredibly cheap. 3x4 are something like .29 a piece, and they go up from there, but I'm not sure how large they actually do.

I am mostly doing 5 x7 and 8x10, but when we go on a trip or something, I use this option

The cheapest place I've found is Office Depot, for the cartridges for my brother MFC 7160C. I compared with Office Max and Staples. Still $40 for all four.

Most of those places are pretty much the same--maybe a dollar or so difference between them. The online place that [livejournal.com profile] tiwonge suggested is over 50% cheaper than the stores--check it out.

I stick with HP printers. I've had good service with them and they don't seem to suck up the ink too fast. I don't run many photos through them though. I usually take a CD to Wal*Mart also and have them print them. yf, tom

Oh I have an HP printer too for papers and such, but I use the Canon for pics. The advantage is that youonly have to replace one color at a time--witht heHP, if one color runs out, you have to replace them all

one other place

You might check out www.123injets.com, too, just to compare. I've bought cartridges from there dirt cheap.
