This was taken 11 years ago yesterday--a month before our wedding. It was a long engagement--we went out for close to 3 1/2 years before we got married. Arlina really wasn't interested in marriage. When I asked her dad if I could marry her, he said, "she's stubborn". He was right.

Memories of courtship and engagement never grow tiresome, do they- such a shining time when love is brand new- it's depths yet unscaled. It is one of the things that makes me feel most blessed- to know love and what it calls me to greet in myself and my loved one- whether that be friend, partner, child, or loved parent.

I'm always happy and honored to be a witness to the things love calls in you M, whether that be through your photography, your calling to God or your love for your family and Arlina.

May I please have your address? I FINALLY found a job and I now work in a Catholic bookstore/gift shop (I LOVE WORKING HERE!). Working in such a place, I come across things all the time that remind me of people or bring people to my mind. Anyway, I'd like to send you and Arlina something if that's ok?
