Things are moving pretty fast now, and there are a million things I could post about, but I am just too tired to think about anything substantial.

For a long time, people have been saying "If there's anything you need...", and I have never known what to say. But yesterday, someone asked me, and out of my mouth popped, "A slice of Boston Cream Pie".

It's delicious.

I will extend again that if you need a care pack of any sort- things that will help you occupy your mind and serve as a bit of distraction- let me know.
my thoughts are with you and holding you near in friendship and my concern for your wellbeing in this difficult time.

I rarely comment because I tend to feel like I don't know just what to say; you're both in my thoughts often though.

I usually just lurk and don't comment, but I wanted you to know that I was thinking of you earlier today and hoping you were well.

Boston Creme is my favorite.

Hey, I'm not too far away if there's anything else you need.

You've got milk to wash down that pie, I hope. I'd hate to imagine you standing at the fridge, forlorn, with boston cream pie evidence smeared around your lips, mumbling for a "gloff of mik"

Please, please, give your network of supporters permission to participate. When people are begging to do something - anything - to help, it's selfish to not let them. You have one job right now, and you know what it is. But you still need meals, and housework and laundry and yard work, and checks to write, and all that other tedious, pointless stuff. So please, let people exercise their compassion and do what little they can. In a way, it would be your gift to them. You're obviously quite experienced at giving. It's about time you started learning to receive.

P.S. Boston Cream Pie was a wonderful choice. (When I'm really desperate, I ask for slow-cook, large pearl tapioca)

Wonderful. I am always relieved that nobody asks me for pie, because that's not within my skill set.

Deceiving name for what is not really pie. MMMMMM. I made one earlier this year. There is something about cake and pudding. My comfort food is Phyllis VanAken's rice pudding. She always brings it to church potlucks. My thoughts are ever with you.

I wish I could bring you pie right now. But here's an angel smile...

Many prayers. Take good care,

Beryl

Mmmm, Pie.

I'll bet they were glad to be asked for something they could actually supply.

Eyes open.
