No, no. Just kidding.

I don't really think the dream was actually about my need for a puppy. And I'm not getting one anyway. I've had dogs before, and loved them, but I like the freedom of being able to take off for a few days and not worrying about coming home to the house all torn up. The cats and I have an agreement that works out pretty well--I leave them enough food, and they ignore the fact that I'm not there.

And no, I don't think the dream was about me being put in charge of Pharoh's grain stores in anticipation of the big famine either. That was tuesday night's dream, where I saw seven fat puppies followed by seven skinny ones. They were sure cute!

I really think it was more about something else I have been thinking about that has nothing to do with dogs except maybe as a symbol of unconditional love. But I'm still thinking about it.

I can never interpret my dreams....I rarely remember them, if I dream at all. I suffer from terrible insomnia and rarely sleep three hours in a row so I don't think I get a chance to dream. Puppies. Keep thinking, but I like your last comment about unconditional love.

I found a website on line about dreams. It said that if you see one puppy it represents your carefree nature and playfulness. It also symbolizes a blossoming friendship or that your existing friendships will grow stronger. If you see a litter of puppies, it represents how long you have been thinking of an idea or how long it will take to accomplish it. It says to count the puppies. It doesn't say if you use days, weeks, months, etc. If you dream that you are taking care of puppies, it means you are a loyal and trustworthy friend. I don't know how accurate it is, but it's kind of fun to look up. I found it at www.dreammoods.com I hope you don't mind me posting. I have read your journal. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this horrible loss. Take care, Dommie

I like that interpretation. It's probably not accurate, but it sure is optimistic!

I think you've got it. Hope you're able to continue embracing life as it is.

My name is Melissa.. and I just stopped by clicking on a friend to a friend to a friend... and I ended up here.

I'm so happy for you that you got to love your wife the way you did. I'm so happy that she and you had that kind of love. Most people don't ever get to experience that.

May He bring you peace. Happy Holidays to you.

I think dogs and puppies do symbolize that kind of love pretty well. (Except maybe for Pomeranians, of which I have one, who are more like cats that can't climb things.) Remembering your dreams is always a good sign.

My chiro told me yesterday that the best explanation for dreams that she has is that you have to imagine that you and your subconscious are on either side of a locked door and your subconscious has an apple (an idea) it wants to give you. Your subconscious shoves that apple under that door to you and what you get is indeed the original apple, only now it's a little more like applesauce. :)

I enjoy reading about your thinking -- you have interesting thoughts. If you're able to share what you're thinking about unconditional love, I'll be terribly pleased.

Thinking of you.
