the lighting and detail is superb on this.
Tell me are you enjoying this camera ever so much more than the g3?

I'm starting to. Last saturday was spent with a photographer friend who has the same camera, and was able to show me quite a bit about it.

This picture, though, was taken with the G3 on my morning walk to get a newspaper.

It is creepy--those eyes! They were in the back of a car parked in an industrial area near my house.

Did you arrange these babies or were they _found_ that way?
I don't understand this kind of "Artistic" photography.

oh no--I was taking a walk to get a newspaper and found them like this in the back of a car. At first I walked past, but had to come back for a second look (and the picture)--it was the eyes that got me.

It strikes me as sort of a sad picture.

Oh, I forgot to add--the picture reminded me of something in a book I read once called "Riddley Walker" by Russel Hoban. The post title is a line from the book.

Hey, Mike!!! Surprise!

I was cleaning out my inbox and found this again...now I have to say that you are the only other person I know who has read "Riddley Walker!" I love that book but found it hard to read until I tried making it sound like Tennessee Hill talk. I realize that had I made it sound like cockney in my brain, it would have made sense too. Oh well. I have not been reading your journal lately since the pictures you post make my friends list extend beyond the boundries of my measly screen size. But I will have to go and see what else you have been capturing in your box of many colors. Susan

Wonderfully eerie!

The "squeeze to adjust" sign adds a nice macabre touch, too.

I almost cropped that out, but decided to leave it in.
