January 29--black dog

i try to walk every day, although some days are easier than others. i have different "loops", ranging in distance from 3-6 miles. when the weather gets nicer i am planning to take a 12 mile walk at point reyes.

there is a particular route i take on sunday. it takes me to the local park and around the duck pond a couple of times.

some sundays i see a woman with a black dog walking around the pond.
i smile at her, she smiles at me.
i didn't see her today.

too bad--i could have used that smile.
