Ok, here's what happened.

After the pirate killed the pigs,
he went for the king cake baby.

He didn't see the plastic frog
(who lives under the cable modem),
but the plastic frog saw him.

When the pirate stabbed at the king cake baby,
the plastic frog jumped out from beneath the cable modem
(where it's dark),
knocked the pirate off his foot
(he has a peg leg--the pirate, that is--not the frog or the baby)
and pinned him
in one of those fancy mexican wrestling holds.

As soon as he saw the frog make his move,
the friendly monster
(that I found on my walk the other day)
emerged from the shadows
and pulled the king cake baby out of harm's way.

That's when the pigs returned from the dead.

Yay, frog! Yay, friendly monster! Yay, resurrected piggies!

Here's hoping that that baby grows up to be a Credit to them.

(Why do I fear that the baby will Never Grow Up?)

I think you're right about the baby--he will never grow up.

the pig facing the camera, down front, has a totally ferocious glare on his face. he must've come back from the dead spoiling for a fight!

I think they were disappointed to miss out on all the action. One of them later amused himself by gnawing on the wooden leg.

For something that sprung out of the necessity to take a picture before midnight, I had a lot of fun with this!

You should write children's books.

I think my sense of humor is just a little bizarre for children's books

Ah, but not for children!

If this is indeed the end, there MUST be a sequel!
